Position Summary:
The Assistant Controller oversees the accounting department, providing essential financial insights to guide strategic decisions. This role plays a crucial part in aligning financial practices with company values and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Accounting Department, overseeing accounts payable, receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Develop and mentor a skilled accounting team to support operational goals.
- Implement financial policies aligned with company strategy and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements at the local, state and federal government level.
- Prepare accurate financial reports, forecasts, and budgets, presenting key findings to senior management complied with GAAP.
- Responsible for periodic financial reports, ensuring the reported results complied with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Implements benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.
- Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and maintain financial transparency.
- Safeguard confidential information and adhere to safety, health, and environmental guidelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required
- Minimum three years of accounting experience in manufacturing.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
