Senior Internal Auditor

A well respected publicly traded company in downtown Richmond (garage parking paid for by them!) with locations around the country is looking for a Senior Internal Auditor. This is an excellent opportunity to join an extremely financially stable and reputable organization. Position is onsite and requires periodic travel (~3-5 domestic trips annually). Target base salary is up to around $100K, varying depending on experience. Benefits include 10% annual bonus, 4 weeks starting PTO, 10 holidays, 2 volunteer days, 4% 401k match, onsite gym, competitive salaries, and travel perks.

Senior Internal Auditor Summary of Duties:

• Assess and mitigate enterprise risks across compliance, financial, operational, strategic, and cyber domains.
• Develop audit plans and manage SOX compliance efforts in collaboration with leadership and external auditors.
• Test internal controls, document findings, and recommend solutions to ensure compliance and improve effectiveness.
• Advise leadership on process improvements and policy enhancements.
• Support external audits through testing and direct coordination.
• Lead and contribute to various risk and audit-related projects.

Senior Internal Auditor Qualifications:

• Accounting Degree
• 3+ years of public accounting or public company internal audit experience
• CPA or CPA candidate (in process) or CIA required
