Regional Sales Manager – ERP / Manufacturing Software Sales

Compensation & Benefits: Base salary target: $85,000 – $115,000 USD, depending on experience. Additional uncapped commission and bonus structure with realistic total compensation targets ranging from approximately $150,000 – $200,000+ annually as ramp-up occurs. Strong benefits package, paid time off, holidays, long-term career growth opportunities, and a collaborative team environment.

Location & Travel: Remote within the United States or Canada. Preference for candidates located near major manufacturing markets such as Minneapolis or Winnipeg. Regional travel throughout North America required for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.

About the Company: Our client is a privately owned and highly profitable software company specializing in ERP-integrated Quality Management solutions for manufacturing organizations across North America. The company supports more than 2,000 installations and maintains exceptionally strong customer retention, with many clients remaining on the platform for 10–20+ years. Their customer base includes organizations within manufacturing, aerospace, defense, automotive, and other highly regulated industries. The company’s software integrates with dozens of major ERP platforms, including SAP, NetSuite, and other enterprise systems, allowing manufacturers to streamline quality, compliance, and operational processes within a single environment. Their development and support operations are centralized internally, allowing for consistent product delivery and long-term customer support. The organization recently completed its strongest fiscal year to date and is actively expanding its North American sales organization.

About the Opportunity: Our client is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to focus on net-new business development within the manufacturing software space. This is a consultative, relationship-focused sales role targeting manufacturing organizations seeking ERP-integrated quality and operational software solutions. The Regional Sales Manager will inherit strong internal support through marketing campaigns, inbound lead flow, booked meetings from Business Development Representatives, and technical support from Solutions Engineers throughout the sales process. This role is best suited for a sales professional who enjoys building relationships, managing a territory, and leading prospects through a thoughtful sales cycle rather than relying on transactional selling tactics.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage a territory focused on acquiring new manufacturing and industrial clients
• Drive software sales opportunities through a combination of inbound leads, outbound prospecting, referrals, trade shows, and channel relationships
• Conduct discovery conversations to understand operational, compliance, and quality management challenges within manufacturing environments
• Coordinate and lead software demonstrations alongside Solutions Engineers and internal sales leadership
• Manage full sales cycle activity from initial engagement through proposal, negotiation, and close
• Maintain accurate CRM activity, forecasting, and pipeline management
• Build relationships with executives, operations leaders, quality teams, and ERP stakeholders
• Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, webinars, and industry networking events
• Collaborate closely with marketing, consulting, support, and leadership teams to support long-term customer success

Qualifications:
• 3–5+ years of experience selling ERP, QMS, manufacturing software, industrial technology, or related B2B software solutions
• Prior experience selling into manufacturing organizations strongly preferred
• Proven ability to manage a sales territory and close net-new business opportunities
• Experience working with longer consultative sales cycles and multiple decision makers
• Comfortable conducting virtual meetings, software demonstrations, and in-person client visits
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently within a remote structure
• Familiarity with ERP environments such as SAP, NetSuite, or similar systems is highly preferred
• Candidates must be authorized to work in either the United States or Canada
• Valid U.S. or Canadian passport required for occasional travel

Why Candidates Are Interested:
• Established and financially stable organization with long-term customer relationships and strong retention
• Significant inbound lead generation and marketing support
• Collaborative sales structure with internal technical and leadership resources
• Opportunity to join a growing sales organization during a major expansion phase
• Uncapped earning potential with realistic long-term growth opportunities into senior territory leadership positions
• Strong product reputation within manufacturing and quality-focused industries

Interview Process: Final-stage candidates will participate in an in-person meeting with company leadership. This may involve travel to Canada to meet with the company president, or leadership may travel to meet the candidate directly. Approved travel expenses associated with the interview process will be covered by the company.
