Payroll Specialist (Hybrid | Growing Startup in Scotts Addition)

We’re working with a very exciting and rapidly growing, venture-backed startup company in Richmond, VA. They’re looking for a Payroll Specialist or Senior Payroll Specialist to join their growing team and manage payroll for their clients

This is a high-impact role with significant room for growth in one of the fastest-growing industries in the world!

Position Overview:
Title: Payroll Specialist / Senior Payroll Specialist
Experience: 1-5 years
Compensation: Up to approximately $55,000 - $60,000 (potentially higher for Senior)

What You’ll Do:

• Set up payroll for clients in online system
• Obtain state withholding and unemployment insurance tax ID numbers
• Accurately process payroll for multiple clients, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Maintain and update payroll records, including employee data, deductions, and benefits
• Provide proactive, clear communication and support to clients on all payroll-related matters
