Lead Internal Auditor (Hybrid, Low Travel)

An established publicly traded company (a top 5 RVA employer) is seeking a Lead Internal Auditor. Position is hybrid with very low travel requirements, excellent benefits, and superb growth potential within the audit department or into other areas of the company.

Lead Internal Auditor position duties:

• Conduct financial and operational audits
• Conducts audits of internal control over financial reporting and with regard to SOX
• Assist management with planning, scheduling, and budgeting
• Review 10Ks,10Qs, and Year End Financials
• Manage and review audits or special projects requested by management or the Audit Committee
• Review the design of controls for new systems and/or processes
• Coordinate with external auditors
• Lead and develop the internal audit team
• Risk management/risk assessments
• Reporting of audit findings

Lead Internal Auditor position qualifications:

• Accounting Degree
• CPA highly preferred
• 4+ years of public accounting audit experience AND/OR large company internal audit experience
