Lead Accountant - Research ($150K) (Hybrid)

Incendia Partners is searching for a Lead Accountant to join one of Richmond’s best companies. This client is recognized for hiring top-notch talent and provides their employees with unsurpassed benefits and advancement opportunities. Hybrid work model (3 in 2 out).

Lead Accountant Responsibilities:

• Take on a key individual-contributor role with high visibility, managing technical accounting research and support for major projects, business transactions, and company operations.
• Be the main contact, providing leadership, advice, and expertise to departments like Mergers & Acquisitions, Business Development, Accounting, SEC Reporting, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Corporate Finance.
• Lead special projects and act as an expert, offering technical accounting support to teams on complex transactions and accounting issues
• Perform detailed research on technical accounting issues and clearly document the company’s analysis and decisions

Lead Accountant Compensation & Benefits:

• Total compensation up to approximately $150K
• Hybrid Work Model (3 days in office, 2 from home)
• Flex Time
• Option to work 9 hour days to get 26 Fridays off annually
• 12.5% Annual target bonus.  Increases with promotions.
• 4% Automatic Retirement Plan Contribution (increases to 5% @ 5yrs)
• 4% Retirement Plan Employer Match (increases to 5% @ 5yrs)
• 13 holidays per year

Lead Accountant Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, Masters preferred
• CPA or CPA candidate
• Public accounting experience strongly desired (with SEC clients)
• 4+ years accounting/audit experience
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
