Compensation: $190,000 – $275,000+ base salary + bonus

About the Opportunity:

Our client, a nationally recognized Am Law 100 firm, is seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage & Bad Faith Litigation Attorney to join its growing Nevada practice. This is a senior-level opportunity for an attorney with significant insurance coverage and bad faith experience who wants the resources and client platform of a national firm without a strict portable book requirement.

The practice represents insurance carriers in sophisticated coverage, first-party, and extra-contractual/bad faith litigation in state and federal courts.

Candidates with established carrier relationships or portable business are highly valued; however, a book of business is not required for consideration.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Represent insurance carriers in coverage and bad faith litigation
• Handle first-party coverage disputes and extra-contractual claims
• Manage complex matters from inception through resolution
• Draft and argue substantive and dispositive motions
• Take and defend depositions
• Participate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and court appearances
• Advise clients regarding coverage, exposure, litigation strategy, and risk
• Collaborate with attorneys and institutional insurance clients across a national platform

What They’re Looking For:

• Active Nevada Bar admission required
• Significant litigation experience involving insurance coverage and bad faith
• Strong preference for attorneys with substantial carrier-side / insurance defense experience
• Experience with first-party insurance disputes, coverage analysis, and bad faith defense
• Strong legal writing, motion practice, deposition, and client-management skills
• Ability to independently manage sophisticated litigation
• Trial experience preferred, but not required
• Portable business and carrier relationships are a plus, not a requirement
