Our client, a direct marketing fundraising agency, is looking to hire an Account Director to join their client services team.  The position is responsible for driving the overall strategic direction for non-profit clients through innovative idea generation, looking at traditional channels and alternative direct response programs. It is fully remote (with occasional travel to client site and/or office for required meetings).

Responsibilities include:

  • Own and lead the overall strategic direction for client accounts across all direct response channels.
  • Serve as the senior point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Provide strategic oversight across all direct response channels ensuring integration and alignment.
  • Develop and manage overall client budgets, including forecasting revenue, costs and cash flow across programs.
  • Oversee execution of client programs, either directly or by guiding internal team members and vendor partners.
  • Guide the development of program strategy, including segmentation, offers, testing and creative approach.
  • Review and approve strategic briefs and creative assets to ensure alignment with campaign goals.
  • Analyze campaign performance, connecting the outcomes to the overall program strategy and broader industry benchmarks.
  • Identify opportunities for program growth and introduce innovative fundraising strategies.
  • Represent client interests across internal teams and external vendor partners.
  • Lead strategic client presentations and contribute to quarterly/annual business forecasting and reviews.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proposals, presentations, and prospect meetings.
  • Supervise and mentor account management staff; foster team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Resolve client issues efficiently and act as a key escalation point when challenges arise.
  • Participate in industry events and conferences to represent the agency and stay informed on market trends.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant marketing and/or communications experience required.
  • Must demonstrate a solid knowledge of CRM, Digital, Data, and Direct Response Marketing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Can shift gears and juggle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Track record of excellent customer/client service.
