About the Firm:

Our client, a boutique plaintiff-side litigation firm with offices in Torrance and Orange County, is seeking an Employment Litigation Attorney to join its growing employment practice. The firm offers a small, collaborative team environment with direct mentorship and meaningful responsibility throughout the litigation process.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an attorney with 1–4 years of employment litigation experience who wants to advocate for employees and develop their litigation skills. Plaintiff-side experience is preferred, and defense attorneys with substantive employment litigation experience will also be considered.

The expected caseload is 20–30 cases total, with approximately half to two-thirds in active litigation. The remaining matters are in pre-litigation, providing experience across different stages of a case.

Matters include discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage-and-hour violations, whistleblower claims, and leave and disability disputes under California law.

This position is remote for attorneys based in Los Angeles or Orange County. Candidates must be available for in-person meetings, court appearances, depositions, and other case-related obligations as needed. This is not a statewide remote opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of approximately 20–30 employment matters with appropriate supervision

• Handle both litigation and pre-litigation matters

• Draft complaints, pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents

• Propound and respond to written discovery

• Take and defend depositions

• Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations

• Assist with trial preparation and trial

• Maintain regular client communication

• Coordinate with and direct support staff

Qualifications:

• 1–4 years of employment litigation experience

• J.D. from an accredited law school

• Active California Bar membership in good standing

• Plaintiff-side experience preferred; substantive employment defense experience considered

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

• Excellent communication and client-service skills

• Ability to manage cases and deadlines with appropriate supervision

• Comfortable working remotely while collaborating closely with a small team

• Residence in Los Angeles or Orange County and availability for in-person obligations as needed
