Electrical Test Engineer - Power Supplies

Relocation considered.
Responsibilities include assisting with troubleshooting of many different models of high voltage DC power supplies in the Test department. The problems may be manufacturing issues, component issues, etc. This position requires a degree in Electrical Engineering and theoretical electronic component and circuit knowledge to be able to troubleshoot to the root cause of a problem. The power supplies range from 15W to 100kW, and 500V to 500kV. These are sophisticated, high-end power converters with embedded microcontrollers.

* Play a hands on role in implementing and improving test method working directly with the technicians on the floor
* BSEE in required with experience working with high voltage power supplies
* BSEE in required with experience working with high voltage power supplies
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Troubleshoot complex power converters and control circuitry to assist Test Technicians
- Help with board rework or modifications or building test fixtures as needed
- Perform other duties and responsibilities when required
- BSEE required
- Minimum 5 years troubleshooting to component level; preferably in power converters
- Good soldering skills, ability to do SMT rework
- Ability to lift 50 pounds to move units to/from cart or table
- Ability to read and understand schematics and bills of material
- Familiarity with oscilloscopes, multimeters and other test equipment
- Good communication skills
- Strong work ethic, good judgement, and attention to detail
