Senior Accountant (Hybrid/Flexible)

Incendia Partners is partnering with a Fortune 500 employer headquartered in Richmond to identify a Senior Accountant for its Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting team. This is a corporate accounting position focused on technical accounting, SEC reporting, financial reporting, and accounting research, with opportunities to support strategic financial analysis and process improvements. Compensation: Up to approximately $130,000 plus annual bonus and industry-leading retirement contributions.

Responsibilities Overview

• Research complex accounting issues and prepare technical accounting analyses

• Assist with SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and related disclosures

• Prepare accounting memoranda and technical documentation

• Support adoption of new accounting standards and regulatory guidance

• Assist with SOX compliance and disclosure controls

• Partner with finance and business leaders on complex transactions

• Improve financial reporting processes through automation and continuous improvement

• Collaborate with external auditors and cross-functional teams

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• CPA or active progress toward CPA strongly preferred

• 4+ years of accounting experience

• Experience with technical accounting, SEC reporting, public accounting, or public company financial reporting

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP

• SOX and financial reporting experience preferred
