Principal Financial Analyst – Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver SaaS-Specific Insights: Analyze key metrics like ARR, ACV, churn, and retention to highlight trends and provide actionable recommendations that drive growth.
- Financial Planning & Forecasting: Support near-term and long-term planning processes, including budgeting and revenue modeling across P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
- System Implementation: Contribute to the rollout of a new financial planning system, helping to streamline and upgrade the company's planning capabilities.
- Model Development & Maintenance: Build, manage, and refine scalable, reliable financial models used for forecasting, scenario planning, and business analysis.
- Reporting & Dashboarding: Create dashboards and executive-ready reporting packages that visualize performance metrics, provide commentary, and support decision-making.
- Variance & Trend Analysis: Compare actuals to budget and forecast, identify variances, and work with department leaders to provide explanations and uncover business drivers.
What You'll Bring:
- 5–7 years of experience in FP&A or a similar finance function, ideally in a SaaS or technology company.
- Strong understanding of financial planning tools and enterprise platforms such as NetSuite and Salesforce; experience with Vena or similar tools is a plus.
- Background in accounting, with a solid grasp of revenue recognition (ASC-606), balance sheet mechanics, and core financial principles.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business environment—comfortable with ambiguity and hands-on problem solving.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex data into clear business insights.
