Our client, a small outpatient clinic for adolescents is seeking a Primary Therapist to join their team.  This role will involve treating mental health with some substance use (about 80/20).  Modalities included are CBT, DBT, somatic therapies and Art Therapy.  The office is dog friendly and one of the therapists took over a room for the art therapy session.  This role is perfect for a clinician with at least a year of experience looking for a smaller organization where they have a smaller case load with less red tape!  License preferred but not required.

Schedule: Monday to Friday either 8:30am-4:30pm or 11:30am-7:30pm
Work Location: In-person

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an active caseload and provide individual, family, and group therapy as appropriate within credentialed expertise.
  • Facilitate therapy groups tailored to client needs.
  • Conduct psychosocial evaluations and create individualized treatment plans.
  • Develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans as necessary to support client progress.
  • Participate in professional development, training, and supervision meetings.
  • Maintain client records in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Uphold ethical and professional standards regarding confidentiality and client care.
  • Stay current with best practices through continuing education and training.
  • Step in to conduct client sessions when other therapists are unavailable.
  • Follow organizational policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in a related field (MSW, Mental Health Counseling).
  • LMHS, LCSW or LICSW preferred.
  • Specific training in child and adolescent development, including coursework.
Required Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong understanding of mental health and substance use disorder treatment principles.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively and work independently.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Effective communication skills for engaging with clients, colleagues, and leadership.
  • Knowledge of confidentiality laws (HIPAA) and a commitment to client rights.
  • Demonstrated ability to treat all clients with respect and professionalism.
