Position: Manual QA Engineer

Term: 6 Month Contract (potentially extendable, MUST BE US CITIZEN OR GREEN CARD HOLDER)

Location: Waltham, MA or FULLY REMOTE, Work From Home (Must be in EST Time Zone)

Compensation:  $40 w2 per hour (without benefits)

Our publicly traded client, with billions in revenue a year, is the premier international real estate title and services company.  You will be tasked with testing web API based appraisal management / real estate applications. The QA Engineer must have strong communication skills, along with a solid understanding of QA methodologies and QA lifecycle / process. You will report directly to the QA Manager on a team with 4 other Quality Assurance Engineers. You will work to test internal web apps, with the focus being manual testing.

Responsibilities for the QA Engineer:

  • You will create and maintain artifacts, documents defects, executes tests and follows QA processes.
  • Create test plans, scenarios / cases and review them with the team.
  • Execute the Test Plans per iteration, create reports on status, find and report defects in the product.
  • Monitor site for conditions, query database for data, prepare test environment, troubleshoot issues within the test environments.
  • Track your work daily activities according to procedure.
  • Run automation tests as needed.
  • Work with team members to detect, and fix defects.

Qualifications / Experience for the QA Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related.
  • 3+ years of professional QA experience.  MUST HIT THE GROUND RUNNING.
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum development processes (not required).
  • Hit deadlines, while working independently and with a team.
  • Proficiency with SQL queries (inserts, updates, deletes, joins, inner joins). Will NOT need to be at the level of Stored Procedures.
  • Proficiency in a Microsoft environment
  • Experience with TFS (Team Foundation Server) or equivalent, i.e., JIRA.

Bonus skills for the QA Engineer, not required:

  • Scripting for Automation would be highly beneficial, but not a requirement.
