Human Resources / Office Manager
Location: Boston, MA | Full-Time | Hybrid
Salary: $140,000 - $150,000 + Bonus + Profit Sharing

Our client, a highly respected investment management firm with a collaborative, growth-focused culture, is seeking a talented HR and Office Manager to join their team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll have a direct impact on employee experience, office operations, and overall workplace culture.

Role Overview
As the HR / Office Manager, you will oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and HR operations, while ensuring smooth day-to-day office management. You will be a trusted partner to leadership, a resource for employees, and a key driver of a positive, collaborative workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Management
  • Administer benefits and coordinate open enrollment and terminations.
  • Update and maintain HR policies and employee handbook.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws at all levels.
  • Coordinate recruiting activities, including interviews and candidate communication.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Maintain employee records and documentation.
  • Support performance review processes and employee development initiatives.
  • Lead engagement programs, surveys, and culture-building initiatives.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and conflict resolution.
Office Management
  • Oversee daily office operations, vendor relationships, and facilities needs.
  • Oversee and mentor an administrative team of 6 professionals.
  • Optimize office processes and administrative workflows.
  • Manage office tools, technology platforms, and supplies.
  • Maintain organizational charts, contact lists, and directories.
  • Plan company events, meetings, and offsites.
  • Ensure workplace safety, emergency preparedness, and office continuity.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in HR, office management, or operations (finance or professional services experience a plus).
  • Experience managing, mentoring, and developing a team of employees.
  • Hands-on experience with benefits administration, recruiting coordination, and performance management.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Professional, approachable, and discreet in handling sensitive matters.
  • Tech-savvy with Microsoft Office and HR platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
