General Liability Litigation Attorney (California – Remote/Hybrid Options)

Location: California – Remote work available or hybrid in select offices
Compensation: $130,000 – $275,000 base salary + bonus
Annual Hours Expectation: 1,900

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced litigation attorney with a focus on general liability to join a collaborative team handling complex civil defense matters. This role allows flexibility in work location, including fully remote or hybrid options, and provides exposure to a range of litigation matters in state and federal courts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage general liability cases from intake through resolution.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement documents.
  • Prepare for and participate in hearings, mediations, and depositions.
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients regarding case risk and litigation strategy.
  • Conduct detailed legal research and prepare analytical memoranda.
  • Work independently while collaborating effectively with senior attorneys and trial teams.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed and admitted to practice in California.
  • Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience in general liability; up to 10 years preferred.
  • Experience with motor vehicle or rideshare cases is a plus but not required.
  • Strong academic credentials with proven legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Self-starter with excellent communication and persuasive speaking abilities.
