Compensation & Benefits:

• Associates (approximately 1–6+ years): $100K–$165K
• Senior Counsel / Of Counsel (approximately 5+ years): $140K–$215K
• Partners (approximately 7+ years): $190K–$275K+
• Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, practice area, business generation, work arrangement, geographic market, and overall fit, and may exceed the ranges listed above for particularly strong candidates with specialized expertise, significant client relationships, or a portable book of business.

Employment Litigation Attorney

Our client, a nationally recognized Am Law 100 law firm, is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Attorney to join its Salt Lake City practice. This opportunity is open to attorneys with 3+ years of experience who are looking for sophisticated employment matters, meaningful client interaction, and the resources of a national platform.

About the Role:

The attorney will handle a broad range of employment litigation matters and work closely with clients and senior attorneys on case strategy, discovery, motion practice, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle employment litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other substantive legal documents
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Perform legal research and develop case strategy
• Participate in hearings, mediations, and other court proceedings
• Assist with trial preparation and trial strategy
• Communicate directly with clients regarding case developments and litigation strategy
• Manage assignments independently while collaborating with partners and other attorneys

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of attorney experience, preferably involving employment litigation
• Active Utah Bar admission required
• Strong litigation, legal research, and writing skills
• Excellent oral advocacy and persuasive communication skills
• Ability to manage assignments and deadlines with limited supervision
• Strong academic credentials
• Trial experience is preferred but not required
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable taking ownership of matters
