Our client is a well-established and growing media intelligence company with a strong and diverse global client base. The organization tracks, records, and organizes broadcast, podcast, and online video content from thousands of sources worldwide. Its platform enables organizations to monitor brand mentions, track competitors, follow industry trends, and manage reputation through real-time and archival spoken-word insights.
Trusted by PR firms, government agencies, global corporations, political campaigns, compliance teams, and media monitoring providers, the company delivers accurate, timely, and actionable media intelligence at scale.
We are seeking a hands-on Director of Product Management to bring structure, clarity, and execution rigor to the product organization. This is a tactical leadership role focused on strengthening product operations, improving prioritization discipline, leading structured customer programs, and ensuring consistent, predictable delivery across teams.
This is not a purely vision-setting role. We are looking for a pragmatic operator who can translate business strategy into well-defined roadmaps, clearly written requirements, prioritized backlogs, and measurable outcomes.
This role will grow to manage as our client grows and will mentor 1–2 Product Managers while remaining actively involved as an individual contributor.
What You’ll Do
- Own and maintain actionable product roadmaps aligned with company objectives.
- Organize and standardize product management processes (roadmapping, PRDs, backlog grooming, release planning).
- Apply prioritization frameworks such as RICE (or similar) to support objective, data-driven decision-making.
- Write clear, detailed product requirements and partner closely with engineering on delivery.
- Design and run structured Beta programs to validate new features prior to general release.
- Conduct user interviews and ongoing research, translating insights into defined product enhancements.
- Perform market and competitive analysis to inform positioning and identify feature gaps.
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, and design to ensure high-quality, predictable releases.
- Track feature adoption, usage metrics, and post-release performance.
- Work directly with key customers to clarify requirements and validate solutions.
- Bring operational discipline to how product decisions are documented and communicated.
Technology & Product Surface
API-first products, data platforms, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), search and indexing systems, live and archival media data, and AI-enabled workflows.
Ideal Candidate
- 8–15 years of Product Management experience, including 1–2 years managing other Product Managers.
- Strong execution mindset with demonstrated experience formalizing and scaling product management processes.
- Proven success running customer Beta programs.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct user research and convert findings into actionable enhancements.
- Experience performing market and competitive analysis in any industry.
- Practical application of prioritization frameworks such as RICE, ICE, or similar.
- Comfortable partnering closely with engineering teams on APIs, data products, and technical platforms.
- Experience in B2B SaaS or data-driven platforms.
