Construction Litigation Attorney

Our client, a nationally recognized Am Law 100 law firm, is seeking a Construction Litigation Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join its Colorado practice. The position offers hands-on responsibility in construction-related disputes and complex civil litigation, along with the support and resources of a national platform.

Flexible remote and hybrid arrangements are available for qualified candidates.

About the Role:

The attorney will work on construction-related litigation and other complex civil disputes, handling significant portions of matters independently while collaborating with experienced litigators on strategy and resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage construction and related civil litigation matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other substantive legal documents
• Take and defend depositions
• Develop case strategy and discovery plans
• Analyze contracts, project records, expert materials, and other evidence
• Participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other proceedings
• Communicate directly with clients regarding case strategy and developments
• Assist with trial preparation and trial strategy
• Maintain responsibility for deadlines, case progress, and assigned matters

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of litigation experience
• Active Colorado Bar admission required
• Construction litigation or construction defense experience preferred
• Strong research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
• Experience managing discovery and depositions
• Ability to handle assignments independently and manage competing deadlines
• Strong client communication skills
• Trial experience is preferred
• Collaborative, self-directed, and comfortable with substantial case responsibility
