Business Development Coordinator – Private Equity (Legal / Advisory Platform)
Locations: Washington, DC | New York, NY | Chicago, IL
Schedule: Hybrid (in-office + remote flexibility)
Compensation: Base salary range: $75,000 – $90,000 + annual discretionary bonus eligibility + merit-based salary increases

Overview: A nationally recognized Am Law 100 law firm platform is seeking a Business Development Coordinator to support its Private Equity practice group. This role sits within a high-performing client development function focused exclusively on supporting attorneys who advise private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and institutional investors across complex transactional and advisory matters. This position is best suited for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with strong process management skills and experience supporting structured marketing and business development workflows in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Pitch & Proposal Support: Assist with development of presentations, RFP responses, and client pitch materials across the Private Equity practice.
- CRM & Experience Management: Maintain CRM systems, track deal and matter experience, and support reporting and data integrity initiatives.
- Marketing Collateral: Develop and update practice descriptions, attorney bios, and client-facing materials to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Events & Conferences: Coordinate logistics, messaging, materials, and follow-up for industry conferences and client events.
- Content Support: Assist with thought leadership initiatives, including articles, alerts, webinars, and related marketing content.
- Research & Targeting: Conduct market and client research to support outreach, relationship development, and strategic initiatives.
- Business Development Operations: Support internal reporting, tracking, workflow coordination, and ongoing BD initiatives across teams.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2–4 years of experience in business development, marketing, communications, or a related professional services function
- Big Law or private equity industry experience strongly preferred
- Strong process management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience supporting structured marketing or business development workflows
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel); CRM experience strongly preferred
