Position: Attorney
Location: Cortland, NY (Hybrid. Onsite when training, with potential for 2 days from home after)

Our client is seeking a full-time New York-admitted Attorney specializing in Trusts & Estates, and Real Estate (residential or commercial) to join their Cortland, NY office.

Our client is seeking a full-time New York-admitted Attorney specializing in Trusts & Estates, and Real Estate (residential or commercial) to join their Cortland, NY office.
Qualifications:
- Current NY Bar admission.
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Desire to develop and further legal skills.
- 3 or more years of experience.
Trusts & Estates Responsibilities:
- Represent our client's in the estate planning process.
- Draft various estate planning and trust administration documents.
- Assist clients with trust funding and provide advice.
- Prepare and assemble Pennsylvania Inheritance Tax returns.
- Understand the Orphan’s Court process, including court filings.
- Manage trust and probate administration cases and meet deadlines.
- Possess analytical and research skills.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and attention to detail.
- Excel in interpersonal and communication skills.
Real Estate Responsibilities:
- Represent our client's in purchases and sales of properties.
- Review real estate documentation and advise clients accordingly.
- Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for real estate transactions.
- Draft various real estate documents during the transaction process.
- Handle title insurance underwriting, curative, and claims.
- Exhibit analytical and research skills.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excel in interpersonal and communication skills.
