Accounting Manager

Salary Range: $110K+ Bonus potential

About the Role

My client seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Manager to lead their accounting operations and support the Controller in managing the financial integrity of the organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both leadership and hands-on accounting responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise accounting staff in invoicing, cash application, daily banking, inventory accounting, and accounts payable processing.

  • Review and approve payments to ensure accuracy and proper authorization.

  • Manage the month-end close process, including account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting.

  • Perform monthly financial analysis and prepare supporting schedules under the direction of the Controller.

  • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual Sales and Use Tax returns.

  • Oversee the Corporate P-Card program, including uploads, expense reviews, and reporting.

  • Assist the Controller with the annual profit plan and budgeting process.

  • Coordinate year-end audit activities and prepare supporting documentation for external auditors.

  • Support implementation of new accounting systems, policies, and procedures.

  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment while supporting company policies and objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field highly desired in lieu of experience.

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role preferred.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.

  • Proficiency with ERP/accounting software and advanced Excel skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
