Web QA engineer

The Web QA Engineer will be responsible for developing and executing functional tests to ensure product quality that meets established standards including reliability, usability, and performance. You will create test cases, execute test cases, and assist in regression testing. You will also ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in our defect tracking system. Finally, you will improve and maintain the Web QA Metrics Dashboard and help report out QA Metrics on a regular basis.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create detailed, comprehensive, well-structured test plans and test cases
• Execute functional tests including regression testing
• Participate in Sprint planning and design sessions
• Work with project team in understanding requirements for new projects
• Review requirements/design documents to provide timely feedback
• Ability to flush out missing requirements and acceptance criteria and communicate them to management.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
• Defect reporting and management
  • Document clear and concise defect reports that identify any questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies using Microsoft Azure DevOps
• Assists in the definition and implementation of quality standards, processes, and quality improvement programs.
• Maintain and improve Azure DevOps QA Metrics Dashboard
• Interact with development teams on issues and defects
• Research and resolve Production Support cases

Qualifications:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT related subjects
• 3-5 years’ experience in Software Web testing using Web Content Management Systems, preferably Sitecore Content Management
• 3-5 years’ experience with Responsive and Mobile screen testing
• 3-5 years’ experience documenting test cases using Test Management Tool preferably Microsoft Azure DevOps Test Plan.
• 2-4 years’ experience testing Web services using tools, preferably SoapUI
• 1-2 years’ experience writing and executing SQL Queries
• Experience in Agile Software Development Methodology & Scrum Framework
• Attention to detail with emphasis on quality
• Ability to work through complex system issues with a creative mind set
• Possess good verbal and written communication skills
