Web-based SQA manual tester (w2 only)

We're seeking a Software Quality Assurance Tester to help improve all aspects of our client's website.
Our client's team is expanding and has become an integral part of the development process.
In this role, you will be responsible for testing including: creating test cases, manually executing suites and maintaining our selenium automation scripts.

Responsibilities: 

• Design, develop, execute and maintain test documents and testing scripts 

• Collaborate with Developers and Business Analyst to develop test cases to ensure testing requirements are met 

• Test software to assure the quality of new and existing functionality 

• Detect, report, and track software defects 

• Perform defect investigation and root cause analysis 

• Drive process, technical, and operational improvements 

Must Haves: 

• 4+ years QA experience in Manual Testing 

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills 

• Able to discuss QA Best Practices and advocate for them 

• Knowledge of defect management tools such as JIRA 

• Team-oriented personality with excellent written and verbal communication skills 

• Time management skills with the ability to work independently 

• Proficiency with Windows operating systems 

• Experience participating in team strategy and planning/design phases 

• A desire to learn 

Preferred skills (Not required)

• Familiarity with Agile software methods 

• 1+ year Selenium testing experience with Java 

• Smartbear Zephyr test management tool 

• Working knowledge of software development lifecycle and best engineering practices 

• ISTQB Certification would be favorable
