The ideal candidate is an Operations Leader with a track record of results, with the potential to grow into more senior management level roles.
Key Responsibilities
- The Value Stream Manager (VSM) is responsible for leading a team of highly skilled associates, and developing them to reach their maximum potential.
- Major accountabilities include, but are not limited to: associate safety, product quality, and on-time delivery .
- Establish future state strategic vision, and developing and executing continuous improvement initiatives to dramatically improve throughput.
- Execution of machine utilization, performance, bottleneck and capacity analysis.
- Implement systems and KPIs that evaluate effectiveness of the value stream.
- Lead the value stream in standard operating procedures, standard work, 5S, quick changeover, and change management.
- Minimum 4-year technical degree (i.e.: mechanical, industrial engineering)
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources.
- 3+ years shop floor experience in lean manufacturing operations.
- 2+ years of experience in leading direct reports.
- In-depth knowledge of machine methods.
- High motivation to learn and develop self.
- Active listener with strong interpersonal skills capable of securing the trust and respect of direct reports and peers.
