Value Stream Manager 

Our Client , a leader in precision machining systems and precise measurement devices,  is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and career minded individual to serve as  Value Stream Manager at its Northern New Hampshire location. This highly visible position will provide leadership, coaching and direction to the machine shop team. The ideal candidate is an Operations Leader with a track record of results, with the potential to grow into more senior management level roles.

Key Responsibilities
  • The Value Stream Manager (VSM) is responsible for leading a team of highly skilled associates, and developing them to reach their maximum potential.
  • Major accountabilities include, but are not limited to: associate safety, product quality, and on-time delivery .
  • Establish future state strategic vision, and developing and executing continuous improvement initiatives to dramatically improve throughput.
  • Execution of machine utilization, performance, bottleneck and capacity analysis.
  • Implement systems and KPIs that evaluate effectiveness of the value stream.
  • Lead the value stream in standard operating procedures, standard work, 5S, quick changeover, and change management.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 4-year technical degree (i.e.: mechanical, industrial engineering)
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources.
  • 3+ years shop floor experience in lean manufacturing operations.
  • 2+ years of experience in leading direct reports.
  • In-depth knowledge of machine methods.
  • High motivation to learn and develop self.
  • Active listener with strong interpersonal skills capable of securing the trust and respect of direct reports and peers.
