Position Overview: As the Tax Manager for our private equity firm client, you will be a pivotal member of the finance team, responsible for overseeing all tax-related matters. Your expertise and strategic insights will be instrumental in ensuring compliance, optimizing tax strategies, and maximizing value across our portfolio and corporate entities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of tax planning and compliance for the firm and its affiliated entities.
- Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns, including funds, partnerships, and corporate entities.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial performance.
- Conduct thorough research on tax laws, regulations, and rulings to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for tax savings.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors to support tax planning initiatives and resolve complex tax issues.
- Provide guidance and support to the investment team and client accounting team on tax-related matters
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the firm's tax position and investment strategies
- Prepare and present tax-related reports and presentations to senior management and stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA or advanced degree (MST) preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in tax, with a focus on private equity, venture capital, REITs, or investment management
- Experience with tax planning, compliance, and structuring for investment funds and portfolio companies
- Proficiency in tax research tools and software
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex tax issues and develop creative solutions
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with internal and external stakeholders
