Supervisor / Lead Delivery Driver (Truck Driver) - 75k, Medical/Dental, 3 Weeks Vacation, Stock

Our client is the oldest and largest employee-owned water treatment organization in North America. They manufacture a wide range of specialty treatments for controlling water chemistry in heating, cooling, process, and power generating systems. 

• Shift: Monday through Friday, 5:00/6:00am - 2:00pm with potential for OT with an estimate of 2-3 overnight trips a month.  Overnight trips are paid by the company & include hotel, meals, etc.
• Pay: Minimum starting rate of $/hour, plus OT and bonus – estimated yearly total: $75,000.00

• Must be comfortable travelling from the warehouse in Hagerstown, MD to the warehouse in Edison, NJ early Monday mornings to pick up product (water treatment chemicals), drop off empties barrels, and deliver them back to the warehouse in Hagerstown, MD
• These water treatment chemicals will be the products you deliver throughout the week in your territory of MD and VA
• You can expect to do 2-3 trips per day with each customer being about an hour’s drive
• Candidate must have delivery experience, and be comfortable moving 55LB drums with a partner driver
• Candidates will be considered if they have a good track record (not jumping from job to job, delivery experience, a Class-B (or Class-A), and have lifted / moved weighted objects
• Specific delivery of water, chemicals, etc. is NOT REQUIRED
• You will be mentored, teamed up and driving with the Warehouse Manager from the Edison, NJ office down in Hagerstown until you learn the routes, warehouse procedures, etc.  Once things are up and running, and you understand how to manage and operate the warehouse you will be teamed up with a new driver, where you will be the Leader of the delivery team
• Estimate that you will have to do 2-3 overnight trips a month (hotels, meals, etc. paid by employer)
• Handling drums, 10LB portable pump, and hoses used for making two-man deliveries of our products
• Driving tandem axle truck to deliver liquid water treatment chemicals to industrial and commercial clients
• Load or assist in loading trucks with materials
• Unload or assist in unloading trucks/trailers using forklift, hand truck, dolly, or stair climber
• Repackaging and labeling of water treatment products
• Assist in the maintenance of the delivery equipment
• Creating shipping bills of lading
• Completing all company and DOT required paperwork
• Adhere to all safety policies

• Prior experience in skilled labor positions preferred
• Personality & professionalism are big component in hiring the Supervisor Deliver Driver
• Management experience is not required, but he/she will want the responsibility as a hands on Driver / Supervisor and should be self-motivated; with an aptitude to learn data entry into computer software systems in the office once done with trips, etc.
• Some computer skills would be ideal, but not required.  You will be required to learn to use them on the job if you do not have experience
• CDL driver’s license is ideal, (class B) with Air Brake endorsement preferred but willing to pay for licensing for the right candidate
• Capable of obtaining HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
• Ability to load, lift and move heavy objects
• Excellent communications and customer service skills required
• Must have a clean driving record and be able to drive a truck with a manual transmission
• Dependable, reliable, and competent to handle equipment safely
• Demonstrated ability to do excessive standing and walking
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Exercise good judgement and sound decision making
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
