Description:
Our client is seeking to fill the role of Staff Accountant, External reporting to assist with all aspects of the external reporting function including:
- Assist with the preparation of the company's Form 10-Ks, Form 10-Qs, Form 11-KS, earnings releases and scripts and other regulatory filings or inquiries
- Prepare supporting workpapers and footnote tie-out in such areas as revenue recognition, fair value measurements, derivatives and hedging, other comprehensive income, equity method investments, noncontrolling interest and earnings per share
- Prepare and record HFM/SAP journal entries for financial reporting purposes
- Assist with the implementation of new consolidation tool
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements for several stand-alone entities
- Oversee the preparation government reports for the U.S. Census Bureau
- Perform various ad-hoc financial analyses as requested by senior management and/or the business
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must be authorized to work in the US
- Four-year accredited accounting degree
- 1-2 years of experience in SEC reporting and/or public accounting
- Strong writing, interpersonal and communication skills
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlines
- Self-motivated/driven with the willingness to occasionally work extended hours during the quarterly and annual close process
- Demonstrated discretion and independent judgment
- Ability to deliver timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work closely with international shared services center, while also building rapport with peers, operational management, and external auditors
- Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA certification a plus
- Knowledge of Wdesk, Tagetik, HFM and SAP/BW software applications
- Experience with large public company or public accounting firm preferred experience with international companies a plus
- Experience with percentage of completion accounting for long-term contracts and project forecasting preferred
