About the Senior Revenue Analyst position:
The Global Revenue Recognition Organization (GRRO) is looking for an enthusiastic individual with over 5 years of experience in Finance and Accounting. In the role of Senior Revenue Analyst, the individual will collaborate with other finance teams to offer technical accounting analysis and support for revenue transactions and accounting issues. Key responsibilities include providing deal support, reviewing contracts, and offering revenue-related guidance during the pre-contract phase. The role involves engaging with stakeholders, such as Sales, Business Finance Teams, and Legal, to address revenue recognition issues during contracting, independently completing deal reviews, and providing ongoing training and support to finance and business teams. Additional duties include mentoring GRRO team members, assisting external and internal auditors, and ensuring company policies and US GAAP standards are properly implemented.

Responsibilities for the Senior Revenue Analyst:
  • Serve as the expert in revenue recognition, offering definitive guidance in the company's revenue documentation for finance teams.
  • Provide real-time consultation during deal negotiations and the development of customer solutions to ensure terms and conditions comply with revenue recognition rules and other policies.
  • Clearly communicate and present accounting policy conclusions.
  • Ensure compliance with leasing, software, and service revenue recognition rules.
  • Address ad-hoc business and process issues related to complex revenue recognition models.
  • Research and interpret U.S. GAAP standards to determine the appropriate accounting and financial reporting treatment for new, material, complex, or unusual transactions or agreements. Document conclusions in accounting position memoranda and support the review process with management and external auditors.
  • Promote adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting policies.
Qualifications for the Senior Revenue Analyst:

Education and Experience Required for the Senior Revenue Analyst:
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business; an advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) is preferred.
  • Over 5 years of experience in an accounting or finance role. Experience with Big Four public accounting is beneficial.
  • Experience in the technology sector and with international companies is preferred.
  • Experience in business and compliance is preferred.
  • This role involves reviewing contracts with the US Public Sector; U.S. Citizenship is required.
Knowledge and Skills for the Senior Revenue Analyst:
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles under US GAAP. Technical expertise in revenue recognition and leases is preferred.
  • Experience in researching and interpreting complex technical accounting and financial reporting issues, and applying those requirements to intricate deal structures.
  • Ability to communicate the implications of policy applications for new and evolving services business models.
  • Capacity to collaborate with operational and finance teams at all levels, exercising judgment in policy application during solution development.
  • Experience in developing, enhancing, and implementing financial policies and procedures.
  • Understanding of the services and technology industry with experience in a large multinational corporate environment.
