Title: Senior Financial Analyst

 

Our client is a highly successful boutique financial services firm. Having recently upgraded their financial reporting systems, they are seeking a tech savvy analyst to help them build dashboards, build reporting structures, and establish and track operational and financial metrics. Additionally, the analysis the Senior Financial Analyst performs will be seen and utilized by Senior Leadership and will have a direct impact on decision making.  

 

The successful Senior Financial Analyst will have strong communication skills and feel comfortable interacting with and presenting to business leaders in all departments of the company, including the C-Suite.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and maintain reports (both periodic and ad hoc) and dashboards utilizing Tableau
  • Assist in establishing and monitoring metrics to create deeper visibility into the business
  • Perform analysis of trends and business drivers including variance analysis and explanation
  • Collaborate with business unit managers, senior leadership, and the C-Suite to provide explanation of business results and to provide effective guidance to support decision making
  • Assist in process improvements projects to streamline and enhance the budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
  • Assist in building financial models for long term planning and performing other ad hoc analysis to support strategic decision making
  • Participate in preparation of all Board of Directors presentations
  • Act as the finance representative on companywide enterprise risk management committee
  • Perform periodic risk assessment of the company balance sheet, asset vs. liability matching, liquidity, and quality of capital

 

 

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Finance, Business Management, or a related quantitative field of study
  • 5-7+ years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence software (Tableau, Oracle BI, SAP Business Objects, etc.) required
  • Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis    
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively engage and complete multiple projects simultaneously
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and intermediate knowledge of  PowerPoint
