Overview:
the Salesforce Solution Architect is accountable for solution design and alignment to overall strategic direction. This role will serve as a key technical leader and subject matter expert in the defining of the target state solutions in accordance with the needs and expectations of the business goals. Working in an agile delivery model, this role will define the architectural runway required as well as facilitate and make technology decisions for the salesforce solution. Collaborating with product and engineering teams, this role will translate the requirements and take into consideration long term strategies and objectives.

Responsibilities:
• Define the target state architecture for the scope of work, serving as a core technology leader within the agile delivery team
• Serve as subject matter expert for targeted technologies, such as modern cloud platforms or specific vendor/SaaS based solutions
• Bring forward modern architectural patterns, leveraging open source, cloud and key strategic vendor technologies
• Ensure solutions are in alignment with internal architectural goals of Cloud First, Microservices, API Led, Headless based solutions
• Create necessary stories and architecture reference artifacts to facilitate decisioning and direction of the target solution. Artifacts include, but not limited to component diagrams, sequence diagrams and overall transition architecture roadmaps
• Lead prototyping, discovery and vendor evaluation activities to ensure proposed solutions fit within overall enterprise context
• Balance near term and long term solution options and goals, being willing to drive towards strategic value
• Collaborate with the broader architecture, UX/UI and engineering teams to optimize and reuse strategic solutions within the enterprise landscape
• Provide directional effort estimates/cost to ensure solution fits within overall business case and long term financial plan
• Ensure proper definition of and alignment to business capabilities
• Define and mature the overall platform and product architectural landscape, continuously identify and defining what belongs as a platform feature and what belongs as a product/application only feature
• Engage frequently in the execution of the Architecture Review Board and maintenance of the enterprise architecture repository
• Provide continuous feedback and proposals of process efficiencies to enable continuous value of architecture
• Maintain current knowledge of technology tools and techniques
• Mentor team members and provide active guidance/collaboration

Qualifications:
• 8+ years of related experience building and architecting complex applications
• Ability to communicate to technical and business team members equally
• Minimum 5 years of experience architecting solutions in Salesforce ecosystem
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience leveraging technologies such as Kafka, Serverless and other modern application architectures
• Experience developing solutions for regulated industries
• Experience in Salesforce Health Cloud
• Experience integrating Salesforce solutions with Microservice based architectures, ERP and other Enterprise systems
• Ability to bring forward new technologies and patterns and apply them into the organization
• Agile proficiency
• Ability to self-start and effectively operate within a complex, dynamic environment
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross functionally in a matrix management environment.
• Must be able to facilitate meetings to resolve issues/problems with a win/win result.
• Demonstrated experience communicating complex architects and roadmaps to senior business leadership
