Since their inception a little over 15 years ago, our Mid-West headquartered client has been dedicated to providing the correct information to the right consumer with utmost efficiency. With a commitment to continually evaluate and embrace the leading technologies and methodologies for data management and analysis, they are known and respected for their expertise in Snowflake and Data Vault. Their team of over 30 top-tier data management professionals are located throughout the US, each an expert in his or her own right. An impassioned squad of cloud data specialists, they create and implement plans to get the most out of a business' data - making sure it strikes the right balance between easy access and proper governance.

This will be their first full-time salesperson hired, so you could have as big or small a territory as you want. As they hire more salespeople, they'll put appropriate territories in place. The world really is your oyster with our client, and while they would love someone with Enterprise Software experience, you won’t be bumping into co-workers attacking the same leads. Base salary is 75k (fixed salary) with tremendous upside regarding the comp plan structure.  They are looking to hire a proven sales leader that is willing to bet on his or herself.
  • Candidates will only be considered if you have relevant sales experience, i.e., data management, analytics, business intelligence, database technologies, etc.
  • Ideal candidates will have experience with project or consulting based sales (professional services, consulting, etc.).
  • Examples: If you do 2M in revenue with a target margin of 800k, you will make 195k. If you do 4M in revenue with a target margin of 1.6M, you will make 355k.*
What you will do as a Sales Director:
  • Within assigned territory, meet and exceed sales goals through prospecting, qualifying, managing and closing sales opportunities
  • Oversee the entire sales cycle while collaborating closely with executive leadership, marketing and services delivery teams
  • Be a trusted advisor to customers by understanding their existing and future IT roadmap and where Snowflake’s platform and where our client’s expertise might help
  • Ongoing account management of current customers to drive expansion of business
  • Maintain deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors and how to position Snowflake in relation to them
Ideal Sales Directors will have:
  • Experience and track record of success selling data and/or analytics services to enterprise customers; includes proven skills identifying key stakeholders, winning value propositions, and compelling events
  • 4+ years of field sales experience within data management, analytics, business intelligence, or database technologies.
  • A track-record of success in selling technology services into net new accounts, demonstrated by overachievement of quota and strong customer references
  • Outstanding skills presenting to both technical and executive audiences, whether impromptu on a whiteboard or using presentations and demos
  • Familiarity with solution-based selling, have experience managing a complex sales process and possess excellent verbal and written communication, listening, organization, and relationship management skills
