Compensation / Benefits / Requirements:  Hourly Pay Targets:$19.00 - $25.00 / hr based on relevant and/or direct experience (Optional Overtime)
  • Daily starting location is in Portland, OR  – Day shift, 8 hours
  • No weekends but on-call as needed

  • A high school diploma is a mandatory requirement.
  • Preferred qualifications include 2 or more years of experience as an EMT and/or Medical Delivery Driver.
  • Ideal candidates will have Oxygen experience, or some sort of medical equipment delivery, oxygen installation, patient experience, EMT, etc.) and driving (Either to a clinical, hospital, or patient setting).
Our client was established with a primary mission of supporting fellow Veterans. Since its founding, they have been dedicated to supplying Durable Medical Equipment and services to both federal government and commercial clients across New York, Florida, Texas, and now are expanding into Portland, Oregon.  They are in need of hiring a full time Medical Equipment Delivery Specialist

Work Setting:
  • This position entails entering patient homes and hospitals for the installation and servicing of medical devices.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Directly reports to the Respirator/Oxygen Operations Manager.
  • Gains proficiency in DOT and FDA regulations pertaining to oxygen.
  • Conveys oxygen equipment and supplies from inventory based on patient/client delivery tickets.
  • Ensures the proper separation of clean and soiled equipment in the delivery vehicle.
  • Loads equipment, oxygen systems, and related supplies into the vehicle.
  • Determines or acquires the most efficient daily route, then operates delivery vehicles along that route to ensure timely delivery of home medical equipment, oxygen, and supplies to home care patients/clients.
  • Accurately completes route sheets and returns them promptly.
  • Conducts veteran orientation, providing instruction on equipment usage, maintenance, and safety.
  • Collaborates with veterans to resolve various issues, serving as a company field representative.
  • Retrieves and unloads rental equipment, ensuring appropriate separation of clean and soiled equipment.
  • Promptly and accurately finishes delivery and pickup paperwork, including route sheets, manifests, and patient/client documentation, and submits them to the appropriate facility personnel.
  • Assists in cleaning and disinfecting rental equipment.
  • Supports minor repair work on home medical equipment within the bounds of training.
  • Requests additional inventory stock as required.
  • Assists with inventory counts as necessary.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to the company's uniform policy.
  • Assists in tracking down paperwork, signatures, charts, etc., as necessary to complete orders.
  • Fosters teamwork among co-workers and provides assistance to respiratory therapists and patient care coordinators as needed.
  • Participates in "on-call" shifts on an agreed-upon basis.
  • Performs various office maintenance tasks as directed.
  • Demonstrates punctuality, courtesy, sincerity, and patience when interacting with patients/clients.
  • Always represents the company in a positive and professional manner.
  • Assumes additional duties within the scope of training as assigned by the Respiratory/Oxygen Operations Manager.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned at any time with or without prior notice.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for knowledgeable customer/client interaction.
