The ideal candidate will be have a BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, be  career driven and looking to use an entry to mid  level position to gain experience and grow their career with a rapidly expanding, innovative company in the power electronics industry.  

The Manufacturing Engineer/Technician will work directly with Manufacturing, Industrial, Process, and Test Engineers to facilitate various activities to improve the manufacturability, repeatability, and process controls related to our Client’s electronic power devices. The core responsibility of the Manufacturing Engineering Technician is to support the larger team in expanding our current production capacity and capabilities to meet the needs of  customers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

*       Perform electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting, and repair to aid in the development of new fixtures, processes, and procedures with oversight from manufacturing engineers, test engineers and other various stakeholders

*       Coordinate and execute audits of Bill of Materials (BOMs) and assembly procedures to capture tribal knowledge and ensure all necessary materials are repeatable prepared for production

*       Validate production processes and verify execution of those processes on the production line

*       Assist in the routine maintenance of test equipment and other key manufacturing equipment

*       Fabricate and/or modify existing prototype components and fixtures for production and NPI

*       Identify and implement manufacturing process improvements to improve productivity, efficiency, workmanship and overall quality of the product

*       Utilize and enhance data systems to monitor and improve first pass yield using structured problem solving to identify root cause of failures and consistent process complications

Key Qualifications:

*       Minimum of  2  years of experience in manufacturing engineering or in a manufacturing environment, preferably with power electronics or other complex systems

*       Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or years of related work experience is preferred although candidates with an AS degree and similar work experience are encouraged to apply.

*       Experience working in a fast-paced environment and meet strict customer-based deadlines

*       Proficient in using common desktop applications such as Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel

*       Ability to apply common sense understanding to execute requirements delivered in written, oral, and diagram formats.
