Our client in Miami, FL (hybrid in office / work from home / remote), a boutique firm specializing in Business and Intellectual Property matters, is in search of a Managing Attorney to take the helm of their Corporate Practice.  Their primary objective is straightforward: to empower enthusiastic entrepreneurs and creative minds to become formidable business proprietors.

As the Managing Attorney of Corporate, your daily responsibilities will encompass:
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for clients with diverse corporate concerns.
  • Overseeing client relationships and addressing their requirements with minimal supervision.
  • Assessing situations and providing clear, easily comprehensible recommendations on strategy, necessity, and priority, empowering clients to make informed decisions.
  • Drafting, negotiating, and aiding in the execution of various agreements, including governing documents, employment and independent contractor contracts, service agreements, debt and equity financing agreements, Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policies, and more.
  • Establishing a system to facilitate team growth, fortifying the foundation to enable everyone to excel in their roles.

If you meet the following criteria in terms of Education, Experience, and Qualities, you could be the perfect candidate for our client:
  • Possession of a Juris Doctor Degree and active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience as a corporate attorney with business/transactional experience.
  • Proven experience working with entrepreneurs and creatives, startup companies, and private offerings, including debt and equity financing, with a bonus for familiarity with venture capital.
  • A self-starter who assumes responsibility confidently and guides others toward achieving their objectives.
  • Exceptional listening skills, complemented by the ability to pose insightful questions to grasp clients' backgrounds, goals, and challenges.
  • Advocating for and negotiating on behalf of clients.
  • Proficiency in simplifying complex concepts for effective communication.
  • A strong desire for continual personal and professional development, with aspirations to eventually supervise and manage others in your role.
