Responsibilities:
- Install, Maintain, Administer and Optimize Performance of equipment at a customer site
- Work directly with customer to build, install, and debug customer-developed software within their production environment.
- Leverage escalation resources to resolve issues without ability to share outputs or log files.
- Mastery of the intersection of system and software
- Software installation and patching
- Apply advanced technical knowledge to operate many technology areas (e.g. server administration, technical security management, performance management, HPC management) or customer groups that are critical or high- risk
- Integrate technical knowledge and business understanding to create solutions for customers
- Proactively and reactively look for solutions to prevent problems from occurring in team/technology area
- Assist in managing delivery of support solutions
Education and experience required:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or commensurate work experience.
- 5 years in a Linux environment
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficient in Linux including shell scripting and log analysis
- Direct experience and demonstrated proficiency with multiple programming and scripting languages preferred C,C++, Fortran, MPI, OpenMP, Python, Julia, R
- Familiarity with Lustre file system administration and optimization
- Experience with workload managers.
- Experience with compiler and library installations, interdependencies and utilization.
- Experience with modules and lmod
- Relocation package may be available for this position
