About the role as an International Tax Attorney:
- The practice is mostly outbound in an emerging companies (mostly tech). Candidates must share their experiences in this area, and should be clearly presented in their resumes.
- Scenario #1: join as a contractor / temp as a solo practitioner who would do a 50/50 fee split in respect to this work ($800/hr x 50% = $4000/hr) x 250 = $100K. My client has approximated 250 hours of international tax work per year.
- Scenario #2: hire a full-time / permanent employee on their regular compensation structure but such a hire would need to also be very strong with US domestic M&A because that’s where all of the extra hours would derive. Regarding the full-time option, they have a different compensation model which is highly lucrative. There is a path to Equity Partner. This would come with top tier benefits plan, highly competitve base salary / bonus plan, etc.
