US Field Service Engineer -
My Client actively seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of US Field Service Engineer. This role will mainly focus on service for customers based in Arizona, California and Washington State. Candidates will report to the Client's Boston area manufacturing plant but can live anywhere in the United States near a major airport - preferably Boston, New Hampshire, Austin, Chicago and Seattle. Training will be proved at the the manufacturing plant and candidates will be compensated for accommodations..
My Client is looking for someone who has installed high value machines and instruments into world class manufacturing environments. This person is travelling across 50 states and internationally, installing and servicing equipment for customers like Samsung, Apple, Sony, Intel, Rolls Royce, Foxconn - to name a few.
This candidate will need a high degree of knowledge around electronic components and circuit diagrams, identify components, and know what their function within an electronic circuit.
This position will support new product installs, perform optimization and certification on our products post-installation, and occasionally provide troubleshooting and repair services on a variety of our client's advanced vibration control and monitoring equipment.
This role is responsible for handling all aspects of service support including communications between customers and the Client's sales and service departments and producing detailed written reports and documentation. Our ideal candidate must be able to work independently, hold strong customer service values, and think critically to resolve technical issues.

Position Responsibilities:
- Perform Environmental Surveys including floor vibration measurements, room magnetic field measurements and acoustic measurements at customer sites and prepare detailed technical reports
- Maintain and develop positive client relationships
- Develop and expand the current survey capabilities to better suit customer needs
- Support new product installations and provide service on existing products. Training will be provided on all product lines.
- Most travel will be in North America with the potential for occasional travel to Europe, Asia, and south/central America
- Assist Quality, R&D and Engineering Department in diagnosing and debugging problems and evaluating new products
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3-5 Years of experience in related field (electrical, mechanical, acoustics, vibration, and/or magnetic fields)
- Familiarity with data acquisition systems, FFT analysis and oscilloscopes
- Strong electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to travel, work independently and be flexible regarding changes in schedule
- The ability to perform under critical deadlines and time constraints
- Self-motivated and an effective team player
- Effective communication skills, both orally and written, with technical and non-technical individuals.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and passport
- Candidates will be required to successfully complete and drug test and background check.
