Documentation Control Assistant - 6 month contract

Essex Country, MA

The Document Control Assistant is responsible for providing general support to the operations of the Document Control and Configuration Management groups. This role will assist in the maintenance (creation, review, revision, and archive) of documentation related to the manufacture our Client’s RF power products. The Document Control Assistant will be expected to interact with global cross-functional teams to coordinate the delivery and update of procedural documentation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management and maintenance of manufacturing documentation
  • Monitor the progress of Engineering Change Requests/Orders (ECR/ECOs) for related projects
  • Assist internal stakeholders in performing document control related functions
  • Prepare required information to transition Item Master information from one system to another
  • Collect and maintain latest revisions of documents and records within local and global systems
  • Timely distribution of latest revision level documents to appropriate users while ensuring that obsolete documentation is removed from distribution and archived.
  • Issuance of document numbers, internal part numbers, and Item Master Change Requests
  • Identify and correct inconsistencies in documentation with engineering oversight

Key Qualifications:

  • Must have High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Familiarity with common Document Management System tools is a plus
  • Proficient in using common desktop applications such as Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to facilitate a wide range of stakeholders
  • Previous experience with manufacturing documentation related to power electronics preferred
  • Engineering background with procedural and/or technical writing experience preferred
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to execute requirements delivered in written, oral, and diagram formats.
