Business Strategist (Retail / Convenience) - ON-SITE ($115k)

Our client is a globally recognized fixture in the oil and gas space that is seeking a Business Strategist for their existing Strategies and Controls team. As their Gasoline Distribution and Store Operations (GDSO) business continues to grow organically and by acquisition, they are looking to add a Strategist / Analyst with a strong financial background to analyze large databanks and the interconnectivity between them to produce data driven, forward-looking strategies. The ideal candidate will bring their experience identifying data sources to produce cost-savings, company road maps, forecasts, and reports.

About the role:

• Deliver regular timely analysis and reporting to management and key stakeholders.
• Analyze financial, business, performance and budget related data that will highlight business insights, identify potential threats, and discover opportunities.
• Create and distribute operational reports of performance measures and metrics.
• Support specialized projects and analysis to our executive team.
• Help develop and implement processes and procedures to increase team effectiveness.
• Participate in analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual KPI’s

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of progressive experience in financial forecasting and analysis.
• Excel proficiency and ability to efficiently learn and utilize new software applications.
• Excel proficiency and ability to efficiently learn and utilize new software applications.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handling ad hoc projects as needed.
• Prior Energy or retail industry experience is a plus.
• Experience with Tableau or other BI tools.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s Degree in business related field, preferably accounting, finance or statistics.
