Experience dealing with all aspects of machine design, analysis, prototyping, testing and manufacturing. Experience relating to motor design, fabrication and testing is desirable
Minimum required: B.S/M.S in Mechanical engineering or related discipline.
The Mechanical Engineer will have the following Responsibilities and Deliverables:
Candidate will be responsible for mechanical design aspects of electric motors, motor housings, motor assemblies and motor test setup. Responsibilities will include concept design, design optimization, design reviews, fabrication of alpha and beta prototypes, design verification and testing; design documentation and release, engineering support for sourcing of components, engineering support to resolve production and field issues, and continuous improvement processes.
The Mechanical Engineer will have the following skills:
- Proficiency in use of industry standard engineering tools : 3D CAD; part and assembly designs/drawings and related documentation
- Structural and thermal analysis
- Creative problem solving; troubleshoot issues and drive them to a solution
