Position: Part Time Bookkeeper/Advisor
Summary: Small and established Investment Advisor organization is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper/Advisor to help with office duties and maintenance. This is a critical position so having worked in a similar environment is a must have.
Bookkeeping – update company and client books as needed including annual audit preparation
Investments – Investment knowledge of stocks, ETFs, mutual funds, and fixed income investments.
Compliance – ongoing maintenance of records for securities audits, annual compliance review, and quarterly updates as needed
Client relations – answer questions, move money, update client files (electronic and paper)
Excel – maintain spreadsheets and if necessary create new spreadsheets to track data
General Office – general office duties including phones, filing, quarterly mailings
Familiarity with life insurance products – license not required
Tax knowledge – Required distribution rules, harvesting losses, year-end tax compliance (individual and business), basic retirement plan rules
Investment import experience with Portfolio Center or similar product
Writing skills – assist with preparation of quarterly mailing letter
